What are the new opportunities for overseas companies?
2020-01-06
The latest, the National Migration Administration announced the data on January 4 this year:
In 2019, the border inspection agencies across the country inspected 670 million people, a year-on-year increase of 3.8%;
Checked in and out of transportation 36.235 million vehicles (frames, trains, ships), an increase of 3.4% year-on-year.
Throughout the year, there were 350 million inbound and outbound Mainland residents. Among them, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan residents traveled to and from the Mainland (Mainland) 160 million, 53.587 million, and 12.278 million, respectively, and foreigners entered and exited 9.675 million.
It can be seen that the global economy is developing at a high speed, and now more and more overseas companies are coming to seize new business opportunities.
However, due to the poor understanding of the market economy in the Chinese mainland and the development of new media, there are also many doubts.
Today, Wei Shangjun shared on "how overseas companies explore the Chinese market":
I. How should overseas companies explore the Chinese market?
Currently the most popular new media marketing channels in Mainland China: WeChat, WeChat public account, Douyin, Weibo, Xiaohongshu and other traffic-level social platforms.
Specifically, it depends on your target groups, and find the right publicity channels for users.
However, WeChat, WeChat Public Account, and WeChat Mall are absolutely indispensable channels for corporate promotion, marketing and sales realization.
In 2019, the number of monthly active users on WeChat has reached 1.151 billion. Both domestic and foreign companies cannot bypass the official WeChat public account channel.
2. How should overseas companies register WeChat public account?
At present, Tencent has fully opened its registration to Chinese companies. But for overseas companies, there is no way to register themselves.
If you need to register for global users, you can search and follow them, especially those in mainland China, then you need to register for "WeChat Overseas Single Subject Public Account" and check whether your industry supports it through a third-party service provider. If you have all the information, you can apply for registration certification.
Unfortunately, many overseas people are not sure about this, but they ran into a wall and found that they still couldn't get around, so Wei Shangjun also reminded the majority of overseas companies here: Non-mainland company entities need something like Weshare Third party assistance.
3. Which 49 overseas regions currently support overseas single-subject WeChat public accounts?
Hong Kong, China, Macau, Taiwan, Germany, Indonesia, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Canada, France, United States, Netherlands, Philippines, New Zealand, UAE, Vietnam, Cambodia, United Kingdom, Australia, Italy, Malaysia, Switzerland, Kenya, Kazakhstan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Maldives, Russia, Israel, Sri Lanka, Austria, Greece, Hungary, Portugal, Spain, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, etc.
